Frank Scibelli

Frank Scibelli, Founder of FS Food Group, credits his restaurants’ success to a love of authentic cuisine and traditions. The Springfield, MA, native grew up in a big Italian family where there was always a delicious feast cooking in his mother’s kitchen and a couple of handfuls of people surrounding the kitchen table.

Scibelli started his career in consulting, but he decided to follow his passion for hospitality and opened his first restaurant, Mama Ricotta’s, in Charlotte in 1992. The success of Mama Ricotta’s led Scibelli to eventually expand his restaurant group family to include Cantina 1511, Bad Daddy’s Burger Bar, Plate Perfect Catering, Paco’s Tacos & Tequila, Yafo Kitchen, Midwood Smokehouse, Little Mama’s Italian and Calle Sol Latin Café, all Charlotte favorites that have expanded to surrounding cities as well. In 33 years, he has opened and operated 7 concepts including his current portfolio featuring 17 locations across the Carolinas.

Scibelli is heavily involved in the menu development process as he travels the globe and partners with exceptional purveyors and consulting chefs to develop dishes that are rich with authenticity and fresh flavors. His commitment to quality carries over to his entire restaurant family from the menus to his team members to the outstanding hospitality each location delivers.
